Couldn't fit it all in last post, but I would love to be able to Dance close to Tasho and Toyin who put it down with BADNESS, GRACE and STYLE that comes with being a woman. I could not do all that they do, but I would love for someone to come out with a HOW TO/EXERCISE Video in different levels of difficulty for those of us who were there in the clubs back then, but want to keep up with the now, at a level that our older bodies can handle. LUV HOUSE MUSIC OLD/NE;LOVE HOUSE DANCE OLD/NEW

@CrabY42 Hahaha!! Me too!!
Damn, I can't stop watching these two girls rip shit up!! FAAAAAACK!!! I wanna dance now!!! xD
-
@JPBrown365 Hahaha the best!
Sometimes I watch a whole battle again just to see the judges reactions.
-
@JPBrown365 Yeah I also like it seperated. If too many styles combine then those styles are gonna be seen as one style.
I mean you could do both styles, but if you're on a bboy battle you should have the bboy mentality and in a house battle you can have the smooth feeling but not vice versa.
At least, that's mine opinion.
But I also have to admit that B-boys with the most flow and the best top rock also do house dance. But they have to know that it doesn't make them house dancers. :)
Peace

@CrabY42 Dude, now that you mention it... you're absolutely right! Actually, a lot of the dancers down here used to be B-boys, and they bring that "b-boy battle" mentality into House dance... and it just takes away the "togetherness" feeling of House, in my opinion.
Another thing I've learned as I evolved in House: Most of the time, the best dancers aren't doing the flashiest moves or aerials; they're just FEELING THE MUSIC, and letting it move them. Love watching these girls go!!!
-
@JPBrown365 That's mostly because they're bboys who also do house dance.
Those bboys then compete in house battles. They can dance but more technical and they haven't as as much flow as the real house dancers.
peace
@nicksmith1123 Learn what dancing is and then talk to the rest of us.

I don't mean to insult anyone, but here's another take. It's possible to "strut" one's stuff with the breadth and depth of one's movement and life experience, not with unmusical aggressive gestures, and I'm not calling out anyone in particular on that. Moreover, this is how the next generation of dancers are going understand dance culture, and they'll bring that egotistical battle mindset to the club, instead of the club mindset to the battle. I kind of see it happening already. Peace.
