Das Mozart Requiem mit Karl Böhm hatten wir Anfang der 70er Jahre aufgenommen. In Wien, in der Piaristenkirche. Damals war noch nicht alles so hektisch wie jetzt. Man hatte noch Zeit und Muße in Ruhe zuzuhören. Ich hatte selbst als Mitglied des Wr. Staatsopernchor mitgesungen. Selbst mir erscheint es heute langsam. Unsere Zeit ist heute viel zu schnelllebig. Keine Zeit!!!

@functionalist972 I think Marriner and Gardiner did a great job with Requiem. Bohm's Recordare is heavenly, though.

Love this version. So much more majestic and tragic with the slower tempo. I think the conductor did great in feeling the core of this amazing and divine piece of music.
