the moodies played this suite toward the end of their show- they started with 'are you sitting comfortably" then moved straight into "have you heard the voyage and then have you heard pt II. Mike Pinder's mellotron was at its peak- very loud and created its own wind. the lighting was an eerie purple with blue hints which made the band appear to be floating in space.
and it was mind blowing- this was when a concert was a big get high event and not alot of don'ts and cops.

The moody blues took us by the hand, each album a lesson book, to grow, to gain insight into who we are and what we can be.My life now in my 60s would hav been empty without their gifts, esoteric, metaphysical , metaphoric .words fail to reflect my deepest thanks . my lessons soooo complete. jus waiting on the bus...

@doula2010 I'm huge into hip-hop and have sampled The Voyage and numerous other Moody Blues songs in a lot of my beats. This is great music!

grew up with the MB's and I still can't get my son(20) to slow down
enough to listen to them. Once the kids get hooked on hip hop their
minds are on a different frequency. I miss the music and experiences
of the late 60's and my senior year of high school-1970. We all just
assumed that this band was "spiritually enlightened" and we were going
to grab every word and note to our heart. They were musical poets and
we knew they had something special. Thanks for letting me rock on.

A great selection and the best of the Moody Blues. Knocked and admired in equal measure, MB epitomised their era and today bring their music to a whole new legion of fans.
Play on MB!...you've made your timeless mark on this world, whilst todays tin bands struggle to make theirs.
