Tennis In Paradise: The WTA Hits Sydney

The 2011 tennis season is well and truly under way. Following fantastic tournaments in Brisbane, Perth and Auckland, some of the biggest stars of the WTA rolled into one of the most stunning cities on the planet: Sydney. And, of course, as well as performing on the court at the Medibank International Sydney, the players also enjoyed some of the best sites, beaches and restaurants of this picture-perfect destination.

Makes ya wonder y so many Top players skipped the Sydney Intl. Tournament & headed straight to that southern city!

It is about time the NSW tourism board started coming up with MAJOR intl events YEARLY & quit allowing towns like adelaide, melb & even perth with the popular hopman cup out do Sydney in these yearly major events.

It's like the NSW Gov has been actively helping other Aust. cities to prosper in major events & not caring about their own state.
