Building Partnerships for a better world. There are five main criteria that Gorta examine closely before funding a project: the country of origin, the need, the beneficiaries, the solution and Gorta partnerships. It is Gorta's job to identify particular areas in countries that experience extreme need and suffering. The greatest needs are often the most basic - such as food, water and healthcare. And it is up to Gorta to build partnerships with benefiting communities to ensure their individual needs are met.
