@Gills347 I`ve got HD 6490m with 1 GB GDDR5 RAM. I can play NFS ProStreet on highest settings with 30fps, but on AC: Revelations (everything maxed out, 1024*720) I get 25, sometimes even 30fps

He does not have an Xbox or ps3.. And I can't afford to get one.. Lol so I'm trying to research ways he could play it on his mac.. So if he downloads the boot camp with windows 7, I should buy the windows version of the game at the store, right?

@pgeske Thanks so much!
was this run on bootcamp?

@FarmerOfDeath1 Yes. I've also tried the mac port, but it runs/looks much better on bootcamp.

What version of the game did you buy, I can only find the windows, ps3, or Xbox 360 versions in stores.. My boyfriend has a MacBook pro, not sure of all the specs, I'm not a computer person lol... But I want to get him this game for Christmas.. Do I have to buy the windows version?

@maausksa55 Yes, but it will only work if he has a bootcamp partition setup (ask him--he'll probably know what this is) with Windows 7 installed on it. i would say you'd be better off buying him skyrim for the ps3 or xbox360, depending on which one he has.

Hey, I was wondering how this would run on my mac in bootcamp. I really want to play it on my mac, but if it doen't run well it's a waste of money.
Specs:
Quad core i7 @ 2.0 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6490M
256 MB VRAM
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
PLEASE HELP! Appreciate it!

@Gills347 While your VRAM isn't that high, your quad-core i7 processor, decent graphics card and ram definitely compensate. I don't think you will be able to run everything on ultra at 60fps (maybe 30-45fps), but it will definitely run perfectly smoothly on high or med/high settings.
