Debra Goldman is an artist who incorporates photography and various mixed media into her studio work. She received her MFA in Photography in 1988 from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. In this video she talks about her collaborative creation of Indra's Net. It is made of recycled fabrics made of natural and lightweight materials, stripped into ribbons and then knotted to create a facsimile of the Indra's Net, a story told in The Avatamsaka sutra. By creating an Indra's Net at a conference, as she does here at Bioneers, and hopes to do more at various conferences addressing connections and interdependency.
She was interviewed by Ruth Ann Barrett of EarthSayers.tv at Bioneers Conference 2011.
