Florence Ballard - founder and original member of The Supremes - sings a version of "Yours Until Tomorrow".

ALBUM COVER ART IS MADE BY ME - please tell me if you like it =D.

Although Dee Dee Warwick first recorded the song, it has been covered also been covered by Irma Thomas, Gene Pitney and Engelbert Humperdinck.

Flo's version of the song was recorded while she was with ABC Records in 1968 - a year after her firing from The Supremes and her departure from Motown. It was supposedly suppose to be featured on her debut solo album set to be titled "You Don't Have To", but the album was shelved and all her recordings with ABC were left officially unreleased until 2002 (except her 2 singles with ABC both released in 1968) when Spectrum Records released the album along with 4 songs of her as a Supreme that feature her singing lead.

  • This is very nice. I swear that bassline sound like the bass of James Jamerson

  • @Jawillie Thanks for commenting =) It would be great if it was James Jamerson but Flo did this with ABC Records (as you probably already know lol).

  • I have to comment again regarding this wonderful talent of Florence Ballard. She was soulful but more bluesy because Dee Dee Warwick recorded the same song and gave it a more gospel/soulful touch which made me separate the two recordings. Flo's solo album didn't touch on her gift. Motown did more work with her and showcased her voice better I have to say.

  • This song I believe comes the closest to Flo's talents from the ABC sessions. Flo was magnificent. I can just about hear her tearing this up live. I can almost hear her singing the intro and lead to "Stoned Love".

  • Man how was this not a hit ?

I love the way she singing this song man!

  • Florence Ballard was such a remarkable person, so sad to see her go so soon

  • I love this song. Flo Ballard would've tore into this song had she sang it live giving the song the Ballad touch. A talent we never got to see spin on its own.

  • @Abridgedfan134

well, if you don't count the night she got fired, you're correct...
