  • These videos crack me up, and the guy is fun and funny. I am a Christian Scientist. I can have an aspirin if I want one, but I don't need one. I can't even remember the last time I had a headache. However, several years ago I burned my hand and couldn't stand the pain after a few hours. I called a Christian Science practitioner, and in within five minutes the pain was gone. Skin healed up in 3 days. True story.

  • @alexmigda God created science along with everything else, therefor, it's not an oxymoron.

  • "Scientology, i dunno, celebrities do it"

That's a great reason. Therefore it must be good.

  • @soulman35 You're right. Robyn Twitchell does not make for a pleasant conversation and we must never think unpleasant thoughts, must we? So Robyn Twitchell must be forgotten and hidden away. Time to go back to your happy place now.

  • @Smithpolly Here's my final analysis of this conversation. My opinion is that you are angry and misguided, though you do care about children. You think I am misguided and irresponsible. We will have to leave it at that, because I can't spend any more time on this particular conversation with you. I hope you have a peaceful holiday.

  • @soulman35 You say you study Christian Science. Robyn Twitchell is part of that story. And he deserves better than to be swept under the carpet like some dirty little secret.

  • @Smithpolly His story may be instructive to some people, and you are definitely out there telling it. I will continue to tell my own story which is my right to tell. My experience is my own. Christian Science saved my life 20 years ago, and it has made me all the more patriotic that I have the right to study it in this country and talk about how it helps me. I respect your right to express your opinion. I have my own relationship with these teachings. That's how it's going to stay.

  • @soulman35 I'm not asking that you only take the tragedies. I am, however, asking that you do take them. You say "Let's take what has worked, hold fast to that". For Robyn Twitchell, taking him to a hospital for treatment would have worked. The Christian science method killed him. And just because you don't find his story "constructive to me" doesn't make it any less true or any less worthy of being told.

  • @Smithpolly We agree there. It is tragic. I just don't see the value of taking only the tragedies of any genre of healing, be it material medicine or any other form of healing, and seeking to invalidate all the good that has been accomplished by those methods. It's not constructive to me. Let's take what has worked, hold fast to that, build on that, compare notes, and work together to build a perfect principle of healing. The world needs that in my opinion. I think it's possible.

  • @soulman35 You do judge. You judge that Robyn Twitchell's story is not a pleasant one. And you judge right.

  • @Smithpolly Somehow you seem to want me to be able to control what other people do or have done, and it's just not within the scope of my abilities. I live my own life, share my own stories, love people and love healing, and love what Christian Science has done for me, how I have helped others with it. I take things on a case by case. I don't judge, I do my best. Try to be a good and fair person. Not everyone thinks that is good enough, but it's the best I can do. Good night.

  • @soulman35 Tell his story or don't tell your own.
