Wha is the fuel effency of this VS say an OA-6?

OA-6?? If you mean MD-500, it wouldn't be correct to compare the fuel consumption of these two helicopters. The Mil has a piston engine and the MD has a turbo-shaft engine.

I wasn't being negative about the Mil, i'm just asking out of interest, i was wondering which would be cheaper to run. Its impressive for a piston powered helicopter.

I didn't say you were negative :) the mil is cheaper indeed. And the fuel consumption doesn't play abig role in operating expences in this case. The helicopters are really too different to compare.
