One easy way to help baby's body learn to roll is by setting him down and picking him up from diaper changes this way: simply roll him/her over to the side while setting down/picking up. This allows him/her to strengthen muscles on the side of the neck (thanks to the "head righting reflex") and also allows practice pushing against the floor with the arm on the way down and up.
