I had dinner across the street at Katana. It's difficult not to admire the Mondrian from outside. Awesome high-modern period tower. Cool facade/window treatment. Disappointing interior. It's all so unnecessary and flamboyant. Waste of a cool building. I think I'll stay at the Andaz (see it @ 1:15 in your video) the next time I'm in L.A.
I was forced to stay the Standard last month, because everything was fully booked. Worst hotel stay ever. 1st and last time I'll ever stay there.
