The thermoplastic bridge, made from some 85,000 pounds of recycled plastics, is the first structure of its kind capable of supporting military equipment loads in excess of 70 tons. This ceremony officially dedicates the Army's first bridge designed from 100% recycled plastic materials and expected to last 50 years with minimal maintenance.
