You knew it had to happen sooner or later. These bikes are just too cool to let the little squirts have all the fun. This is the Strider Sports staff aboard some mildly modified Strider balance bikes running some of the downhill mountain bike trails on M Hill in Rapid City, SD. This was SO much fun that we decided to put together a race for the 2011 Black Hills Fat Tire Festival... announcing the inaugural Strider Cup Downhill! Hold on to your helmets... $1,000 to Win!!! plus payout down through the field. This is sure to be a crazy event! Rules will be available in January 2011 on both the http://www.stridersports.com and on http://www.bhfattirefestival.com website. Oh, the fun we're gonna have! :-)

Any thought to making a adult size version of this bike? Maybe a 16-20" version? About to go buy my twin daughters 2 of these, would be awesome to have one of these to ride around with them.

The first half- is just too funny.
The second-half just makes perfect sense.
Every kid should learn to ride this way.

watch out - Might be the start of a new Olympic sport. Next time I want to see you guys strapping one on each foot. Now that would be a sight!!! Forget inline skates - we got Strider Blades! good one!

We added larger footrests and changed to the pneumatic tire on the alloy rim with steel spokes and steel hubs. Otherwise, the bikes were stock. Look for a 'adult pit bike conversion kit' coming soon. It will be all bolt-on items that will have the big kids (adults) enjoying the Strider as much as the little kids.
