  • @Xiolablu3 Thanks for the reply. I dont even know why I wrote what I did.

  • @AnglOsAxOn2 "Well as far as the Spitfire was concerned, she was just the perfect aeroplane to fly. She had no vices - you did something wrong she'd turn around and say, you know, "don't do it again." Not like some of these American planes. I mean, you know they'd turn round and bite you the second you did something wrong. But the Spit really didn't have any faults - it was like flying a Tiger Moth. Very easy to fly. " - Jack Cohen - fighter pilot who flew the P51, Spit and Avia S199 (bf109)

  • @AnglOsAxOn2 Of course I have never flown a Spit, but ask any real Spit pilot about flying the Spitfire and he will tell how easy it was to fly and throw around the sky. You can laugh at my comment if you wish, but you will look like a fool in the end when you find out its true. It enabled the pilot to get a lot of stick movement to the side without his legs getting in the way, like it did in some planes, such as the bf109. Example, see my quote in my next post, ...

  • @Xiolablu3 If this was not Y/T I would proberly be asking you many questions, but as it is I doubt you have ever flown a spit, which made me laugh at your comment.

  • @a155099 It was actually incredibly easy, just watch any film of a pilot flying the Spitfire from inside. They can throw it around effortlessly

  • Beautifully Primitive but extremely effective just the same.

  • incredible to think this is where you could spend the last seconds of your life. beautiful, yet a small, vulnerable space.

  • the flight stick looks odd

  • You should see the Me109! It's much worse!. See the clip, "Spitfire, the legend, the facts" etc. Parts 2 and 3 of 5 contain the comparison of the two. This is a great video. Really cool to get a good slow look of the cockpit. Thanks for posting.

  • werid how the throttle was on the left and the landing gear was on the right while most had the gear 3 inchs away from the throttle and flaps not far from that aswell
