To celebrate the 50th anniversary of manned spaceflight (also known as Yuri's night, after Yuri Gagarin the first man in space) here's an animation all manned spaceflights over the last 50 years displayed in 50 seconds.

Note: the orbits are purely representational. I'd love to do a remake with correct orbits if I can find someone to collaborate on getting the data. Only had the idea for this a day ago, so haven't had time to gather it myself.
