My 6th chat, scripted in Javascript, both clientside and serverside.
In this video, I create the chat from scratch using jQuery, NodeJS and Socket.IO. From creation of the project untill having a basic working chat, all done in 5h32m, played back at x32 speed.

ik ben helemaal nieuw met nodeJS, maar het leek me wel interessant uit te proberen, want client side js heeft zo z'n problemen (iemand heeft js uitstaan of browser is niet compitabel met de code). Hoe zit dat met nodeJS, is alle js dan server side, of gedeeltelijk? En behoud je alle functionaliteit van js?

Welke IDE is dat? En kan ik daarbij ook Syntax krijgen voor C++ en C#?

@WolfosDotOrg Netbeans IDE. Geen support voor C# AFAIK (maar vast wel een plugin voor te vinden), C++ wel.

@Firgurthh Soms is de chatserver down; het is maar een klein thuisservertje die ook voor andere test-projecten gebruikt wordt. De chat wordt tegenwoordig actiever gebruikt en wordt binnenkort op een andere server geplaatst (wel zelfde domein/pad), waarbij de uptime zal verbeteren
