RTAK II's meet the Tormek T-7.mpg

Cheesy quick video I did after watching Cr0cket20's RAT 7 video. Just thought I'd share what I was able to do to my Rtak II blades with a Tormek T-7 grinder. The Rtak II's came with sharp blade, but the bevel looked like it was 40-55 degrees and it wasn't even across the whole blade. I wanted a 30 degree bevel and put off reshaping on my diamond stones for obvious 10 inch reasons. The Tormek accomplished this feat in about 10-12 minutes per blade. VERY satisfied! If there's more interest, I'll do some more videos on the Tormek System and what I've found works. There's already plenty out there, but you really get what you pay for with this machine.

Can you get the exact angle you want using the grinder to sharpen them?

@Balgore8 yes you can. It has coarse and fine adjustments to get the exact angle you want. You get it by moving the tool bar rest up or down and the knife jig also has an adjustment.

NICE!!! That is the bevel I'm looking for. In my use it just seems to work better out in the field. Nice job too, I was drooling over the edge.
