how much would it cost in total to make one of these? I saw it on instructables and was planning on making one for myself, but first it'd be nice to know what pricerange I'd be looking at

also if you could point me in the direction of where I could find some of the parts listed, it'd be greatly appreciated :)

Parts are from conrad electronics and the whole thing cost me about 50 - 60 CHF including lasers. There are lots of other online sources that are maybe cheaper, depends on your location too. The laserpointers are from a local sale, cheap and low quality

Have you actually made any tests againt shaks with lasers ? I very interested in this since the only reason I wont go swimming in the sea is my fear of sharks with lasers . it would be awesome if it was proved that this works against sharks. tnx and keep up the good work

no sharks have been injured, i'm against animal testing. but it sure scares off humans because of the terrible sound. I'll post it when i have a version that sounds better, but i have not planned to make it waterproof

Audio starts at 00:47, it was plugged in to the line in of my computer, so you hear only the synth
