That should have read 912. The rest was the manager did the appraisal. I told him of walking 1.3 miles to the bus line and taking the bus downtown to buy Autoweek to read about his and other driver's exploits in the 917. He didn't charge me for the appraisal and asked me what value I wanted placed on it.

The 917/30 was purely a Can-Am car of the Roger Penske Racing organization. It never ran at LeMans. Back then the sports car magazines stated that it had 1,300 hp on full boost. The 917/10s ran in European races for privateers. The regular 917s were called Kurtz and Langheck. I hope I spelled that right.
