  • This was from 1977, the first year the campaign was inroduced.

  • @tyrese3745 The 1982 year listed in the title frame is probably an error. Our documentation on the "I Love NY" commercials gives little detail on when each film was made, but we do know that most of them were made in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Thanks for looking!

  • I remember Pataki did a few of these ads in the late '90s, early 2000s. I love the theme song. It makes me feel so proud of the state which I've called home my whole life!!

  • These ads are classic! They need to bring this advertising campaign back!

  • My favorite one...I LIVE IN BROOKLYN BUT I LOVE NEW YORK...one of the greatest campaigns ever run in the media.

  • sitting on the floor with my dad on his favorite couch ,in the bronx around 82 ...watching this commercial...priceless

  • I want to do a new "I love new york" where I can say: I love new york, now more than ever!!

  • what a cad...

  • IIIIIIIII love new york

  • @realdaveed Cool! He's been a couple of things since. I think he was in Jagged Edge with Glen Close.

  • I don't think this was from 1982. This was from 1977, because the current logo didn't appear until around 1981. I know this because I saw a WNBC NewsCenter4 clip of the '77 Blackout during commercials at the Paley Center five years ago.

  • When I see this first commercial for I Love NY it more than just always transports me right back to when it first came out but most especially for the NH Fisherman played by Ma Cowboy TV Star & Host of Boomtown;Rex Trailer who also stared in The Nationwide syndicated TV Show of Earth Lab and previously the NY TV Show of OKY Doky's Ranch along with Playing Dr.Reynolds in Mermaids costarring both Cher & Winona Ryder. Thus showing & proving how versatile an Actor that Rex Trailer really can be too.
