This is my biggest stop-motion project. It's about evil forces trying to bring King Artaher's fortress to fall. Fans of battle movies (like LOTR or King Arthur) will recognise many scenes and quotations ;) Shot in 2005.

Originally it was planned as an half hour movie in four parts, but for different reasons I was just able to finish the first two parts with a total running time of 17mins.

The version presented here is a re-release of the original movie, which had been taken down by YouTube due to copyright claims. 2011's "The Kingdom" comes with a completely new score and more advanced soundeffects. Also, there are 20 extra seconds of battle footage at the very end of part 2, which I didn't use back then.

Hope you enjoy!

  • @EliteMarine3 Wenige Bilder. Hab ja damals keine Einzelbilder gemacht, sondern immer ca. 4, 5 frames lang gefilmt...Würd umgerechnet auf schwache 5fps kommen ;)

    Danke!

  • Great episode !

You have lots of playmo I love your army at 7:36. I think it took you a long time to move all these armies. :)

  • @Waffel22 Thanks! To be honest, I didn't really have that many medieval figures. Some of the shields in both armies I just made from paper ;) And in this particular shot I took the first guards, as soon as they where out of frame, and placed them (with different hair) at the end of the row, so they were used twice!
