@animalmother4 There are similarities, but chord progressions get repeated in music all the time. This riff is way more on the funk side than the blues side, which is how I'd describe Dave Gilmour's guitar work on those Pink Floyd tracks.
Both are great bands with great guitarists. I'd say they both drew from the same basic sound, but left their own stamp on it.

Yeah went to a few of their gigs in 2007. .. .Such a fall from grace, Glastonbury 1996 to a boat on the muddocks of Bristol

They had a new album out last year & toured. They're still as great as ever :-)
Arthur Brown had a hit with "Fire" in the 1960s, accompanied by his band Crazy World of Arthur Brown. They broke up after one album. Arthur Brown then formed Kingdom Come (not to be confused with the Zep ripoff hair band from the 1980s), and put out three albums - Galactic Zoo Dossier, Kingdom Come, and Journey - which are psychedelic classics and highly influential. Kula Shaker obviously knew about Arthur Brown and had the good taste to invite him on!
