Here is another Super Metroid Impossible playthrough by Lance Uppercut. This time it is different, because this is the first time this hack has been finished without using a single save-state. It was, of course, segmented into smaller pieces with the help of save stations in the game.
More information can be found here
http://forum.metroid2002.com/index.php/
(Choose Super Metroid Hacks childboard and then topic for Super Metroid Impossible, page 60)

This time I do not put the whole gameplay here because it is almost twice as long and nowhere near as good as the former one. Instead, I made a few clip collections with music showing some best parts of this run. The clips are in chronological order.

Enjoy!

Part 3
Time to kill Ridley and Mother Brain and finish the game.

Songs:
Project x -- Mega Man 2 - Heatman
De-Tech - Self Control
Scooter - Ramp

  • I love how you can hit the mother brain with her own shit at the end. Doesn't seem like she likes the way it feels.

  • No varia suit!

  • More spikes, items shuffled around so everything is more difficult, terrain changes to make you take routes only available to those who have mastered the wall jumps and bomb hops.

Notice how the Varia Suit was behind Ridley instead of in Kraid's room. Did you take constant heat damage fighting Ridley in the original, nope. =D

    Its insane...

  • I guess I've been out of gaming for too long. This looks exactly like Super Metroid for the SNES. What's the difference?

  • awesome! but in MB fight why you didn't shoot SM instead of M?!

  • Infernal also makes a really good version of "Self Control". Laura Branigan's original version is classic. De-Tech's version is faster than all other versions.

"Oh the night is my world

    City light painted girls

    In the day nothing matters

It's the night time that flatters

    In the night no control

    Through the wall something breaking

    Wearing white as you're walking

Down the street of my soul..."

  • Scooter - The Logical Song

  • Have you beat it.

  • Dude what the fuck was with the last techno song?

  • I think you can find that song in "Replay Dance Mania Vol. 3".

    And yes it's a good song =D

And I also love the game
