High Treble Input, Volume on 4, Power Scaling cranked halfway. I rolled the tone back a bit for the part I was playing over the loop. It just sounded so huge in person - I wish I had a better recording setup to capture the warmth.

I keep cracking up when I watch the video because I was so into it. I guess that's supposed to happen when you get the tone you're after :)

Speaker is a Guytron BigTone 55. I'm dying for a Scumnico or Silver Bell Alnico though.

  • were all the rockytop jtm 45s built with power scaling? how much would you say they would cost? i dont no cause i havent seen any on ebay or the gear page or anywhere to get an idea. what cab and speakers did you use here?

  • @davem04ify I think this one was around 1,000 used. The power scaling became dicey with anything more than about 25% taken off. It was a combo amp, and the speaker was a Guytron BigTone 70

  • MAN i love that guitar! and great tone!

  • @terrymanolitsis Thanks! Yep, I'll never let go of this guitar. This was a fun setup - I prefer my Morgan AC20, but this definitely sounded huge

  • Sounds great! Cool guitar.

  • Thanks so much for listening. It was a fun amp, but I can't get enough of my Morgan AC20 - so much clearer
