They are from Austin, Texas. Same place 13th Floor Elevators and several other good psychedelic bands are from. They are soooooo gooood! :) Just amazing! :) I can't believe more people don't know about them. Janis Joplin also is from Texas and played in Austin a lot man the list could go on and on haha. Anyway thanks for this awesome video of awesome music loving it super much.

It is amazing how mighty this song sounds today, after all these years. A lot of psychedelic rock from that period gets lost in fuzz and experimentalism. This song simply rocks with no pretense. You could possibly release it as a "neo-psychedelia" single today and chart with it.
The guitar in this song is some serious goddam business.

My father was in this group...background guitar and supporting vocals. Everyone in this band was friends with Roky from the 13th Floor Elevators...the name of the group was supposed to be Power Plant, but when it got recorded, the record company messed up the cover and made it look like the name of the band was "The Golden Dawn." So, the name of the album should be The Golden Dawn, and the group name Power Plant.
