I have 2 of the first edition, one that I played on and one mint condition sealed away in a safe

so do I, and 2nd edition. I liked the Dwarf, Astropath and Space Pirate but using the last two was to easy

I wish i had the first edition of this game it was awsome. My friend had it and it was great fun to play. Getting the first edition will be impossible though if you don't look for already used games. I preferred the old look with the eighties graphical style. I might buy it anyway...

Alright lets get one thing straight "classic" Role-Playing game here! So lets don't unsult it!

The earlier edition (this is the fourth) were based on the Warhammer Fantasy universe indeed and made by Games Workshop.
This one is made by Black Industry, which is the role playing game imprint of BL publishing. BL Publishing is the publishing wing of the Games Workshop group of companies.
In short, yeah, it is based on the same universe, although I haven't seen direct mention of it by reading the rulebook.

talisman online is a pc game and this is a classic tabletop role play game. you cant compare it.
