@carl22069 There are far too many convenient distractions, and my guess is that they weren't really as up in arms about the birth certificate as they portrayed themselves to be- given the media will pre-emptively defend the administration- but rather welcomed the distraction. Always remember, these things and more are brought to you by the administration who will never allow a good crisis to go to waste. (Also, they didn't HAVE to do anything- they chose to give a press conference.)
