Yemeni protesters continued demonstrating against President Ali Abdullah Saleh in the commercial capital of Taez on Thursday.
At least 12 people died in overnight clashes, including civilians, government forces and anti-Saleh militants.
Yemeni opposition officials stated their agreement with the president's party on an interim government as part of a deal to put an end to his reign.
A deal drafted by Yemen's Gulf neighbors did little to end the bloody violence that has continued for 10 months.
The plan is an attempt to prevent chaos spilling over into Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, and help prevent Yemen's al-Qaeda faction from gaining the upper hand near Red Sea shipping routes.
A representative of the opposing Joint Meeting Parties that signed the power transfer plan in the Saudi capital of Riyadh decided to divide cabinet seats among themselves and the president's General People's Congress, which is expected to be declared on Saturday.
