  • I understand that Marion Williams wrote this song, but Clara slape her name unto it!

  • @mrtheoneandonly83: You and I both heard the same thing about Marion Williams writing the song, but I can say that Clara didn't just slap her name on the song. I was told a while back, by 2 credible sources, that Clara did buy the song from Marion.

  • I Love it Row....these women were just spectacular....

  • @hprewitt: Yes indeed! I wish I was around during their hey-day!!! They would've had to carry me off the stage, for real! LOL!

  • Marion is on the far right end in the green..clara ward or marion williams is hitting the high notes...

  • @hprewitt: Kitty Parham is right in front of Marion Williams. As mentioned above, Kitty Parham is the one hitting the high notes. Clara Ward didn't hit high notes, and what may have been seen in the movie A TIME TO SING, where Clara hits a note, it was someone else. She's just lip-synching.
