Opera Queensland Chorus
The Opera Queensland Chorus is drawn from a rich pool of singers of diverse backgrounds, from artists and music students through to those whose professional life is entirely unconnected with music or opera. All its members share a common love of the operatic artform, and through thorough technical training, musicianship and great enthusiasm, this ensemble has earned a most enviable reputation both here in Australia and overseas.

Johannes Fritzsch, conductor
Johannes Fritzsch is currently the Chief Conductor of The Queensland Orchestra and the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Graz Philharmonic Orchestra and Graz Opera in Austria. He was previously Chief Conductor of the Nuremberg State Opera. Opera companies with which he has worked include the Dresden State Opera, Köln Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Opera Bastille Paris, Graz Opera, Royal Opera Stockholm, Malmö Opera and Opera Australia.

The Queensland Orchestra
As the largest performing arts company in Queensland, employing 88 full-time musicians, and as the states only professional symphony orchestra, The Queensland Orchestra plays a vital role in Queenslands cultural community, giving over 100 live performances across 47 weeks each year to more than 100,000 people.
