The Magnificent Capitolio of Puerto Rico

The magnificent Capitolio of Puerto Rico - April 2007.

The murals in the dome and around it are entirely mosaic tiles with gold leaf accents.

The panels of marble all around tell the rich history of the nation.

We then see the Senate portion of the capitol building, a hall of leaders/governors and end with a display on the various recycling programs Puerto Rico is undertaking to continue sustaining the quality of life on the island.

You must see this, one of the most regal Capitol buildings in the United States, in person next time you visit San Juan. We took a private tour and are grateful for the time of the kind and knowledgable guide.
