My 60" XBMC XTV Media Center

First video of my home media center. My dog chewed the ethernet cable so it sometimes looses an ip. I'm gonna hook up a new one tonight. It's an old xbox that my buddy gave me that I added unleash / xbmc / xtv to. Pretty simple process. I think it took me all together about 3 hours from start to finish, not knowing anything about hacking an xbox. I also got youtube working on my xbox for all those people on forums saying you can'y get it to work.

If you go go into the setting in the Xbox you can change the video to 1080i but you have to do it inside xbmc also. I actually use the Alaska skin now. I will post the TV model number when I get back in town. You also need to purchase a high def cable for your Xbox which I think is $10. Sorry for any typos, my phone likes change the words I am typing sometimes.

i have modded my xbox (1st model) with a 500Gb HD, LCD Display 20x4 and self-made HD cable. On my HDReady LCD the HD movies are soooo beautiful. XBMC are the best media player for Xbox...

1080i of course, good thing it runs great, but sometimes it freezze!! while browsing videos over lan, and some youtube apps stop playing videos because of the cache, less cache and they might work, believe me for an old xbox, hd skins doesnt work that great.

They are all High Def skins and wont run on the xbox :)

Good stuff, but I recommend you try out a new skin. Aeon, Rapier, or any others. They just make it that much nicer to look at and very customizable.
