Tutorial 4 of 4 in this beginner's series, explaining the basic use of Blender 3d to created 'Sculpted Prims' for Second Life.

This tutorial walks you through some the basics of Rendering in Blender, as well as setting up simple lighting, and creating a material to bake for a texture to apply to a Second Life sculpty.

  • It sounds like you learned to move your rendering window to the middle so that you don't close blender the hard way.

    I like your voice.

  • Exactly my reasoning. I spent a couple of weeks losing progress on projects by accident before discovering how to permanently move the render window ^-^

    And thank you.

  • good videos ty very much ive need help with this since i got it :DD

  • Thanks for the tuts. FYI if you click the Scene button (F10), then click the Output tab, you can change the placement of the render window. I have mine set to appear in the middle of the screen.

  • This whole set was so helpful. I was reluctant to try blender for sculpts but this walk through is so easy to understand. And this is my first time using Blender. I would suggest to anyone that you have Blender open then pause the video at each step and do it yourself in Blender. A little trail and error but don't move on until you get that step down. I used ctl Z (undo) more than once. THANKS AGAIN!

  • im going insane............. this is hard....

  • Go back to the first video in this series, where he tells you how to download and install Domino Marama's script pack - the only difference is that the scripts are now called PrimStar.

  • How do you get the "bake second life sculpty" option under render? That's not a normal option for blender and I'm not sure how to make it so that is an option. Do I need to download something?

  • great tutorial!
