  • Half of the time he talks like this is something that is being worked on, other times he talks like, its being implemented, and other times he makes like its not already being done, then he lets you know it is being done, then at the end the crowd applauds and he knows, it has been done successfully because the people who heard it should have been offended but sense they werent it was clear, they dont think that the inside joke will be on them, what he knows is that it already is.

  • Huxley was brilliant... there aren't many thinkers like him anymore... Huxley, Orwell, Skinner, Fromm, Bronowski, Sagan, all you get these days are "intellectuals" sucking up to the powers that be to save their own hides....peoples minds filled up with the basest garbage (and loving it!!) there is no hope forhumanites future, the mass of people will not rise up and demand their share of the worlds resources, instead the elite, the politicians, the "celebrities"(the court jesters) will keep it

  • @rickwyant There are still thinkers of his caliber. I'm one, merely without a public eye, there is a vale to self-lessness which kills the need for recognition. Even within todays vast bodys of information I manage the full extent of forward thinking and adaptivity. I invent, for myself, by myself. There is a level of logic at which you ethically realize you can not give monkeys fire.

  • this guys an asshole

  • @rickwyant

And he summed up all of that up in "Island". Yes, he may have been the last truly great thinker. The contemporary "intellectuals" you speak of tend to never get beyond their own self-interest (ego-gratification ~ even the mystics and the self-proclaimed "enlightened" ones who yammer so much about "oneness", etc.,). He was a visionary of the highest order.

Thanks to supadupadennis for the great upload.
