forget the bad stuff this guy had HUGE talent!

Damn, I wish there were no other instruments. I loved the first few seconds when it was only Liberace, the master. The rest is an unnecessary distraction that only detracts.

I love him, I was born in Vegas, I took him for granted. I was given my first piano when I was 5 and started my lessons. I stopped-no more money. I went on by myself playing my scales and arpegios. I never got great, not even good. I listened to him everyday on the radio. When I hear classics, I remember them from him. A great saddness of
mine is not being a good pianist. I should have talked to him when I was young, I did not understand death as a child and he would be gone some day. LOVE HIM

Wow. Liberace without akk the over the top glitter. great performance.
-
And classical purists used to knock him?! Surely the first goal in any performance is to delight, which he does. He seemed to have the knack of engaging his audience, and ensuring that everybody was having a good time. Never knew him, but he appears to have been a lovely fellow.

Is it me, or am I noticing that he's playing many pieces Art Tatum also played?
