The theme of my pictorial essay is personal growth. I chose this theme because throughout the story Cole goes throughout stages of personal growth including anger, depression, acceptance, and then happiness, which are also what my photos symbolize. The video could also work for Peter because he also went through stages of personal growth. My song is clocks by coldplay. I chose this song because even though it may not sound like it fits with the pictures, it does. Im not quite sure what the actual message in the song is, but for me, it would be about time. So it works with the photos because it was time for Cole to realise that he wasnt hated or unloved, he just couldnt see past the walls that he had created for himself to see that he was in fact loved and accepted.

My theme is personal growth.
2.What is the rational for your music?
My song, Clocks by Coldplay, works with my pictures because it was time for Cole to realise that he just had to take down the barriers that hed made for himself to see that he was loved and accepted instead of hated and alone.
3.How do the pictures relate to your theme?
Well, they go in a line. It starts of with hate, anger and depression, and move into acceptance and happiness.
4.Is there any one photo that is more symbolic than the others?
Probably the picture that looks through the circular railings of a bench. That picture for me symbolizes Coles starting realization of him not being alone and seeing in a different way.
