Lunar Eclipse - August 16, 2008 - Canon HF10
http://www.bgplots.co.uk/

The image shakes because the moon moves during the night, obviously. It's hard to keep the moon in the exact same spot of the frame while it's constantly moving. The sound was from video that I recorded for the purpose of giving the timelapse a more real-time feel to it. Thanks for all the discussions.

  • "the moon moves during the night, obviously."

Not really. Actually Earth is spinning :))

I'm kiding, of course we all understand.

  • This was an eclipse? I was expecting much more shadow movement, it looked more like ordinary night :-D Here in central Europe we saw about 90 % covered.

Anyway, nice video. How you done that? You pointed the camera into the telescope? Or you got tele lens? How long did you recorded? Too bad HF10/100 don't have some kind of time lapse opption, for example one frame each 10 seconds.
