Friendly Video Graffiti @ Whitechapel Gallery

(not) North Korean based Dutch-Indonesian artist L.C. von Sukmeister is widely acclaimed for his art intervention strategies but also his new art video appropriation (NAVA) practices, derived from art history, artworks, politics and anthropology.

The artist focuses on a key moment in the history of the Whitechapel Gallery: to be filmed and intervened by legendary LC. von Sukmeister.

This is the first Friendly Video Graffiti done of a major European artist whose fusion of documentary, paint, architecture and found objects into the realm of video art will influence generations of younger artists.
