In mississippi, there were maybe four or five people demonstrating against the war, and they were on the news, being attacked, dodging fists and bottles, and we all thought it was funny, even the news anchors thought it was funny to see them being smashed in the face for standing on a street corner with a guitar singing bob dylan songs. But that was mississippi.

was in DC in 03,many tens of thousands of us protesting a war that hadn't even begun yet. next day the newspaper mentioned the demonstration and on the front page was a big picture of maybe a dozen people in a counter-demonstration across the plaza. seig heil to the war racket and a million dead Mesopotamians, women and children

and now we can add Obama's name to Bush and all the other war mongers. She must have read "War is a Racket" by General Major Smedley Butler - read it!
