Japanese People Are not Like Anime Characters

After visiting Japan, I saw how unrealistically Anime portrays the personalities of most Japanese people. I hope that people will keep an open mind when they go to Japan, and not form unrealistic expectations based on something that isn't neccesarily real.

@DivineOrDivinity lol xD I'm sure there probably is some crazy Homer Simpson guy. xD And there are cutesy girls who act like they do in Anime. But not every guy is Homer. xD And not every Japanese girl is like an anime character. xD A lot of the girls I met in Japan were more tomboyish. ^^

It would be funny if one person actually went to Japan just because of anime.

Imagine the epiphany he or she would have when they find out what Japanese really are.

So true. It annoys me how some people think that. Anime introduced me into the world of Japan, but now a days I don't even watch anime anymore. Ha ha, I want to go to Japan through things I learn in books and over educational sites, not that one anime where there are magical girls jumping around in frilly clothing. I really hope people listen to this video! xD

I know for me I like anime but I'm not a HUGE fan and don't watch it that often. I actually became a fan before watching anime. I remember importing the Dreamcast (game system) from Japan. That's what really introduced my into Japan. I loved the language then I learned a lot about the culture and such about real Japan, notot basing it on anime at all. Another thing to add is when people 'like' something because it's Japanese and not actually/ truly liking something, for example an artist
