His main interest, however, is motor racing, and he spent many years taking photographs at different racing circuits around the UK, amassing a collection of many thousands of colour transparencies. For some time he has worked as a sub-editor for Motorsport News, and also reports on events such as the Goodwood Revival meeting and Festival of Speed. Endurance Racing at Silverstone in the 70s & 80s is his fourth book.

His features have included 'drive' stories, interviews with key industry figures, sporting events (eg Carrera Panamericana), buying guides, and historical articles on important vehicles.

While at school in Northampton-shire, Anthony Carter's lifelong passion for motor racing was fired by the distant sounds of BRM V16 racing cars being tested at the team's nearby Bourne base. A trip to Silverstone with his school friends in 1954 sealed his enthusiasm, whilst national service in Germany enabled him to visit the Grand Prix at the Nurburgring in 1956.
A career in London's insurance industry, while he was living in Kent, allowed Anthony to visit motor races at home and abroad whenever the opportunity arose.

Tom Falconer bought his first C2 Corvette in 1971, and has owned and driven them for forty years. His first '66 was bought while studying architecture at Newcastle University, where he started Claremont Corvette in 1977, specialising in parts, servicing, sales and restoration. The company moved to Kent in 1986.
Repairing, restoring, and road-testing Corvettes daily gives Tom a unique insight and experience as an author. He has written nine books on the Corvette, and is a columnist for magazines on both sides of the Atlantic. His current Corvette is a 1964 convertible, restored by Claremont in 2003.
