When when someone did this to me i freaked out and thought it was a illegal move. But this vid helped me out and i will look for more opertunities like these.

Yes. One less pawn for promotion is right ... and that becomes more and more important as the number of pieces on the board dwindles. And there may be a great number of other reasons for capturing a pawn. :-)

This seems stupid to me. But I guess that's one less pawn for pawn promotion.
