@Galayman2 I had a relative who tried to sue the bank. Even if you're right, they have the best lawyers money can by to say you're wrong and show you the "fine print".

what would I do different??? BE SUSPICIOUS OF AN AD THAT SAYS "GET PAID TO SHOP" duh
-
This same thing happened to me only I canceled the wire transfer in time and took the money back to the bank. I almost fell for it. then they sent me another thing in the mail just like it and I called the indian guy and told him to go to hell!

...this lady made two mistakes! 1: falling for that scam. 2. Pawn Shops are a scam! they give you pennies on the dollar for your stuff! stay away from them!...
-
It was obviously a scam. The lady was being an idiot about this.

I am getting depressed just listening to this story. So sad :( The Pennysaver has those "mystery shopper scams" in their paper every week! Why doesn't Pennysaver remove it along with the other scams?
I figure if the bank takes the check they outta pay for it, its their system. Boycott the banks, screw em

It's sad that this woman fell for this scam, but the bank should be held responsible as well. They are the one that said that the check was good when they should have held it and investigated a little more. So, the bank should be sued on grounds that they said the check was good, when it wasn't. If my bank did that to me and the check bounced, I would take their butts to court and sue them for all they have.
