Detect All Computers Connected to Your Wireless Network by Britec
Wireless networks are biggest victim of hacking and misuse of connection. Wireless network setup inside your home and office may be misused by your neighbors as a way to get free internet connection. You must protect your Wireless network with strong password to prevent unauthorized users from accessing.

However even after taking all precautionary measures to prevent unauthorized access one cant guarantee their wireless network will be safe. Here is one handy tool, Zamzom Wireless Network Tool which lets you to detect all computer names, Mac and IP addresses using your wireless network.

  • Net View displays a list of computers in your current domain or workgroup. You do not have to be connected to the same workgroup or a domain to access a wireless network. So I don't think Net View will give you the correct answer.

    I think that the reason that the program was made was to find out who is using your wireless network and to do that you have to explore your arp table. You can not ping an ip/name address if you do not know which address to ping.
