Thanks for posting this. Only thing that troubled me was that the interactive Music Layout you show in this video didn't match the one Wwise gave me on my computer. Luckily I found the "Reset Factory Layouts".
...oh yeah and you said the word "actually" about 30 times in 8 minutes - well, I didn't count, but you said it a LOT. ;-)

aw man hearing that at the end....I'm definitely gonna have to try this now!

Thank you for this tutorial! It's been weird for me trying to learn Wwise. I'm a composer and pretty tech-savvy in general, and having used protools, logic, and several other industry programs, I expected this to be learn-able by trial-and-error. The learning curve is a lot steeper, it seems. And I find it hard to visualize your ultimate goal when this complex program only represents a portion of the complete finished product. Meaning, I can't figure out how to mess with it in-game.Any thoughts?

very nice man......please keep posting more videos, i have just started learning Wwise & if i have any doubts can i contact u please??

Thanks man. Would be good to have more tuts on this. Only reason i saw this software was through a job posting on music jobs. How come they didn't mention any of this stuff at Uni? Ive also read loads on audio designing but nothing mentioned this :( I would happily join a course if they run them in the London area. Any ideas on how to gain experience with this (without working as an audio designer)?
thanks, great video. Are music composers expected to know this and FMOD to write the for gaming industry? - or is this software used by game designers? - There's so many different areas of the audio side of gaming which is such a significant part of the gaming experience. I'm a composer and wanted to get into writing for games - I was advised to see this software and FMOD... but I'm thinking.. shouldn't I leave this side of things to someone else? - Not sure if you know!

@jakesandersonaudio Generally there is going to be an audio programmer, and composers, sound designers, and all three are all expected to have some knowledge of the designer client. The Audio Engineers, and composers are the primary users of these programs however. When you mention "This Side" This is actually a designer client, and would be considered the "side" of the audio engineers. The way to learn at first would just be to play around. In my opinion the easiest to start with is Xact

is Wwise the industry standard?

@mrconcept It's good to know both Wwise, and Fmod. They are both widely used
