Arguably the best finish in college football history....
November 20, 1982: Stanford has a 20-19 lead with 4 seconds left. Cal uses five lateral passes to return the ensuing kickoff for the winning TD...with the band on the field.

  • There were exactly 85 people in the band.

  • I could only imagine Joe Buck announcing this.

"The bears get it, and he's running, now another guy is running, and he runs into a guy, touchdown, I'm going home."

  • lmao. That was the Stanford band. I don't think they cared if they were on the field, but I guess they do now.

  • Oh, you just played rugby, for once...

  • Gus Johnson got nothin' on Joe Starkey!

  • @EPR89

DAMN! He was a sax player. smh

  • This announcer should be on Madden

  • And he dodged, what, 50 or 60 would be tacklers?

  • Every time I hear American Pie I need to come to YouTube and watch this. "The players tried to take the field but the marching baaand refused to yield."

  • The Gus Johnson of the 80s
