  • whats the purpose of the yellow stick?

  • @luiskilla91592 it is a safety indicator. Required at ranges to show the gun is safe and no ammo in the chamber. Get a few,it is good practice.

  • You can train with the single action pull using snap caps just manually cock the hammer each time you want to dry fire.

  • @mclellan3 Thanks. More and more I have been hearing from the experienced shooters to just go to the range and use live ammo. There is no substitute. I guess it will take dedication and time so that accuracy becomes natural,

  • where did you get the yellow gun flag from?, a gun store?

  • @tractorman96 I bought one at my gun range. They require it to show that your gun has been cleared for a cease fire.

  • 5 stars for the "that's what she said joke".

  • snap caps are really useful for malfunction drills. Have a friend load 4 mags with 2-3 snap caps randomly throughout and run a handgun course. You will quickly see how good your reflexes are when a click happens instead of a boom.

  • Just wanted to let you know you said the hammer hits the snap cap instead of the firing pin.

  • @bb2727tne Correct

  • I was just at Sig Academy yesterday. They told us that any centerfire pistol made by Sig can be dry fired without snapcaps. No damage will be done to the weapon.

  • Can you use a snap cap more than once?

  • Hammer and decocker release "that's what she said" LOL!

  • I keep my ammo and snap caps in a bag together. I also happen to be learning how to load my gun with my eyes closed...

  • would it be possible to put empty shells in the mag for dry fire? The hammer could hit the shell .

  • @miket1590 because there is always a chance of the slide releasing, then you get a big boo boo finger. Go ahead and keep doing it if you want....I won't. And thanks about the user name, its' badass!

  • @utubesuckshit Why? Not like he's releasing the slide when his finger is in it. Oh, and nice username, real classy.

  • You shouldn't put your finger down in the chamber area, dumbass.
