Throughout Django Unchained the world 'nigger' is casually used by white people to describe African-Americans. As a black person watching the film this didn't offend me because the start of the film clearly states that the film was set in the 19th century where this kind of behaviour was the norm. The same way a documentary or film about a group of Palestinians or Blacks giving death threats to Jews and Whites respectively will assert that these are the views of a minority.
