This was recorded shortly before the accident, and it was Marc's choice of what should be Gloria's next single - so she made it so to honour him. It was a success on American R&B charts!

I just read recently that she was driving which lead to the death of Marc. This song was released in 1978 and Marc and she were involved in the car accident in Sept. of 1977 in which she was driving. I loved this song when it came out back in the day but I didn't know what was behind the lyrics. Its a sad ending to a happy union of two people.
